How to make a TAC claim?

If you have been involved in an accident and are seeking compensation through the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), there are important steps you need to follow.

Please ensure that you meet the requirements outlined below to make a successful TAC claim

  1. TAC will not accept a claim unless you report the accident to the Police.
  2. Your claim must be lodged with the TAC within 1 year of date of accident, although TAC can in its discretion accept a claim lodged up to 3 years from the date of accident.
  3. A claim can be lodged by contacting TAC on 1300 654 329 or STD Toll Free on 1800 332 556.
